Even deeper darker thoughts...I can now account for only one of the young blackbirds. The parent birds are still coming in to feed him but he makes it as difficult as possible for them. He keeps on moving around the garage and is in a different place every time they come in. They make chuckling sounds in their throat to announce themselves and I presume that this causes him to reveal himself. He has started to chirp as well now.
